Ayra Starr, 22 year old Grammy nominated Afro pop diva signed under Mavin Records is about to step into the Nollywood space with a bang in a Prime Video’s original ‘Christmas In Lagos’ directed by Jadesola Osiberu.
This is no surprise as we see quite a number of music artistes finding their way into the nollywood space and we are absolutely excited to see the super talented Ayra Starr in her acting element.
This movie, a romantic comedy features a lot of phenomenal actors who have been in the game for a while such as Teniola A. Aladese, Shalom C. Obiago, Rayxia Ojo and Shaffy Bello.
This movie is also set to feature some amazing music stars such as Adekunle Gold, Wurld and Liya with the soundtrack featuring songs from legendary musician Sunny Ade, Afrobeats icons, Flavour and D’banj, and many more.
The movie which was filmed in Lagos Nigeria follows recently heartbroken Fiyin portrayed by Teniola Aladese, who’s convinced her best friend, Elo portrayed by Shalom Obiago, is the love of her life.
Jadesola Osiberu, movie director shared in an interview “For me, Ayra Starr represents what it means to be young and female and daring and brave and fearless—just being yourself. She was on the list from day one.”
We are anticipating this debut and can’t wait to see the reviews.
