American singer Chris Brown expresses his heartfelt intense gratitude to Nigerian superstar Wizkid in a social media posted by Luthortv. He revealed a very important moment in his life that solidified his friendship with him.
On the post published by Luthortv, Chris Brown referred to Wizkid as his “brother for life,” citing that his generosity enabled him to perform on one of the world’s biggest stages in the UK.
Brown, had not been able to perform in the United Kingdom for over a decade due to a ban placed on him after pleading guilty to assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The ban denied him entry into the UK in 2010, effectively halting any plans of performing in the country.
He said that despite him performing all over America, he hasn’t been able to perform in the UK due to this restrictions.
This moment happened in 2021 when Wizkid reached out to him inviting him to join his O2 Arena concert, marking a significant moment in Brown’s career. In addition to the invitation, he also covered all of Brown’s expenses.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and had not gone there for any show before. One day, Wiz called and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid is my brother for life,” Brown said.
This significant event Chris Brown’s return to the UK stage and also solidified his bond with Wizkid.
