Popular Haitian singer Michael Benjamin better known as Mikaben has died after collapsing on a stage while performing at a show.
The singer was reportedly performing at a show in Paris with the Haitian konpa band CaRiMi on Saturday, October 15, when he collapsed.
The viral video of the 41-year -old singer that was making round media shows the Mikaben walking off the stage after the performance but suddenly collapsed in front of the spectators.
This sudden incident unfolded live on twitter with the editor of Haitian newspaper Frantz Duval, at first alerting that something was wrong after which Mikaben’s fans were told to evacuate the arena .
“End of the concert. We must evacuate the room. It’s very complicated. We need prayers,” Guirand said.
Mikaben was later disclosed to hae suffered from heart attack leading to his sudden death.
On announcement of his death on twitter , the management of Accor Garden Paris where the singer performed before this sudden demise wrote on twitter saying , “He died after suffering a seizure on stage and despite the efforts of emergency services”.
