Mourinho reacts to Higuain’s retirement from football.

Jose Mourinho, the current head coach of the Italian Serie A Club Roma, has dropped a message to his one-time player Gonzalo Higuain after the Argentine declared his retirement from football on Monday.

The Inter Miami striker has played for some of the top clubs in Europe, the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli, and Chelsea.

He had a successful period under Mourinho during their time together at Real Madrid.

He has won three La Liga titles, one of them coming under Mourinho in the 2011-2012 season.

Higuain will retire at the end of the ongoing MLS season.

After he announced his retirement from football, Mourinho took to his Instagram story to share a picture with him and wrote:

“Are you tired of scoring goals? enjoy the rest of your life!”
