Popular Nigerian Track and field event athlete Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan have been rewarded handsomely by the government of Ogun State, for making the country proud in the just concluded 2022 common wealth games.
Nigeria was made proud by robin after the set a new world record and won a gold medal in the sporting event that held in Birmingham.
Government of Ogun state presented the gift to her on Tuesday ,4 October 2022 on her visit to Ogun state government house in Abeokuta.
The executive giver of Ogun state ,Adedapo Olusegun Abiodun during the meeting with commended her strength and intransigence and her determination to excel.
Governor Abiodun in his speech said:
We are going to be presenting you with on
of those homes in Ijebu-Ode. We are rest
assured that you will come back home and
live in Ijebu Ode.
“We will be giving you a small token. Now
you are a big girl, we are only a state
government. No matter who you are, you
can’t be bigger than your state. It’s not the
quantum of what we are giving you but the
thoughts that come with it. We are donating
to you the sum of N5 million today.”
