Nigerians are currently dominating the world with their sound. Our artist have been able to feature some of the biggest names in international music, a feat that many never saw happening years ago. We were considered inferior until some people stood up and decided to defy the Norm by standing out and being exceptional. They have gone ahead to build amazing relationships with musicians form the Western World and this relationships have birthed some of the most beautiful and best selling records of all time.

A collaboration between these two amazing vocalists was something many never knew they needed. Tiwa and Brandy blended so well on this song and Brandy was able to surf and smoothly glide through the song and even adopt the Yoruba language at some point. The song which has gone ahead to win awards and bag tens of nominations has over 100 million streams across all platforms.
9. Drake and Tems “Fountain” :
This song was on Drake’s album and it was what gave rise to the Drake, future and Tems collab. Tems was able to give her melodic sound to Drake’s flow on the song becoming one of the best songs on that album. You know Drake would never not sell so you can be sure as hell to know this song has over 200 million streams across all platforms.
8. Rema and Camila Cabello ” Calm Down”:
when this was firstly announced many people wondered how
Camilla Cabello a known Pop and RnB English/Spanish speaking
singer could easily flow on an Afrobeat song until the song
officially came out. She was able to blend so well and her
melodious and subtle voice made it even more perfect leading
that song to becoming the most viewed Afrobeats record on
YouTube today with over 300 million views and counties in such a short while.
7. Davido & Chris Brown ” Blow My Mind” :
This song is undoubtedly one of the best collaboration between A
Nigerian and an American artists. Chris Brown who is renowned
for his versatility and musical prowess didn’t fail to do justice to
the song and even Dancing passionately in the song video in the
rain adding more sauce to it. It went ahead to win tens of awards and earned them both different accolades.
6. Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran “Peru Rmx” :
Peru originally was a monster hit in the country and across the
globe as it blew beyond Nigeria but what came as a a shocker to
many was when it was was announced that this song had a guest
feature in person of Edsheeran. Many wondered how an English
speaking Ed could sing along with Fireboy on an Afrobeats jam
but Ed Sheeran blew minds with his top notch delivery.
The song earned a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming Fireboy’s first Hot 100 hit.
5. Dbanj & Snoop Dogg “Mr Endowed Rmx” :
This song ushered in a new wave of international interest into the Nigerian music scene. It was released during the pre digital streaming era but it had such a top notch production, video and delivery from respective parties which ushered in an international deal for Dbanj as at that time. Snoop Dogg delivered in his usual style a perfect verse that I still vibe along to till date.
4. Future & Tems “Wait for You”:
Tem’s song was adopted and her vocals were used in this song but unknown to her it would usher her to her first Grammy Win and her first BB Hot 100 Number 1 hit song. It solidified her International presence and gave her a niche above her colleagues.

This very song would have been our number one but the OG version was so good it just couldn’t take that spot. This song earned Wiz His 2nd BB Hot 100 top 10 Hit and 3rd BB Hot 100 hit song. It has won Over 30 awards with over 50 nominations Including two Grammy nominations and an MTV EMA and VMA nod respectively.

should we say wizkid is lucky because he has appeared the most on our list? Wait till number to find out. This song earned wizkid his 2nd BB Hot 100 hit and His First Grammy Award Win, His First NAACP win and many more wins. It has won over 30 awards and it has been nominated over 40 times. It remains one of Nigeria’s most successful awards.

Wizkid is beyond lucky at this point. Let’s say He is blessed. WizKid’s international feat started with this song as it ushered in WizKid’s first BB Hot 100 number 1 Hit for over 30 weeks.One Dance has gone on to be certified a Diamond record, a feat less than 110 songs have been able to achieve since inception. It was nominated for a Grammy which was lost but it has earned other major awards, certifications and recognitions. It remains of of the best selling songs in history and WizKid’s biggest record till date .
