Turkey earthquake: “Christian Atsu is still missing, we can’t confirm his whereabouts” — Agent cries out

Nana Sechere The agent to a former Newcastle Christian Atsu has debunked the news that the player has successfully been rescued alive from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday, February 6.

The information that was circulated before was that the Player was rescued after his voice was heard under the rubble of his Turkey home on Tuesday.

The spokesman of his Club Hayaspork also ascertained that the player was admitted to hospital where he is receiving injury after sustaining an injury.

However , according to a statement released by Nana Sechere , that 31 year is yet to be rescued as his whereabouts is yet to be known .

“Following yesterday’s update from the club that Christian had been pulled out alive, we are yet to confirm Christian’s whereabouts.

As you can imagine, this continues to be a devastating time for his family and we are doing everything we can to locate Christian,” Nana said in the statement posted on Twitter.

The doctor of his club said that all the effort that is being made to rescue Christian and his sporting director Taner Savut, has yielded nothing raising fear that they might be in grave danger.

“When we heard the news about Taner Savut and Christian Atsu that they were taken to the Dortyol Hospital, we went to the hospital and they were not there,”

He added that at present “unfortunately Taner and Christian Atsu” are being regarded as “not found”.

Over 11,000 people have been confirmed dead in the massive earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday.
