The 19th edition of the annual Forbes list of the world’s 100 most powerful women was recently released and there were so many talking points on this year’s edition and a little controversy on the selected women. The list was determined 4 main metrics of measurement. The level of wealth, media presence, societal impact and the spheres of influence possessed by each individual. There were Representatives from sport like Serena Williams, Media like Nigeria’s Mo Abudu and Oprah Winfrey, Business like Jane Fraser and a lot of political leaders.
Women from the political Eco System were weighed by their nations G. D. P, populations, corporate leadership and revenues. After properly scrutinizing thousands of women that made the unofficial nominations, a collection of women who are fighting the status quo and defied odds made it to the final 100.
Jane Fraser, a British American banking executive and the current CEO of Citigroup made it to the top 10 list as she was able to successfully distinguish her organization and it stood talk in the banking sector.
